Jan. 31, 2023 – The House Transportation and Infrastructure (T&I ) Committee will hold its first hearing of the 118th Congress on the challenges of infrastructure and the supply chain. “The aggregates and industrial sand industries are the beginning of the building supply chain that sustains our modern way of life,” said the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs Michele Stanley. “That is why the members of NSSGA greatly appreciate Chairman Graves (R-Mo.), Ranking Member Larsen (D-Wash.) and all the members of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for working on their first hearing of the 118th Congress to advance policies that improve our transportation network and supply chain. From permitting reform to improving rail service, there are a host of bipartisan priorities that NSSGA encourages the committee to undertake that support the 100,000 men and women who work across 9,000 operations in our industry to more efficiently supply the materials needed to build our communities, roads, airports, transit, rail, ports, clean water and energy networks.”
